Mike came to the Virgin Islands in 1967. He taught scuba diving in Red Hook for several years and then became involved in a saturation diving project in Puerto Rico for two years as the science program coordinator. For the last 35 years, he has owned and operated a fiberglass repair facility in St. Thomas. He has been a Board member of the St. Thomas Historical Trust for the last 10 years. For the last 19 years, he and his wife Jane have been active collectors of almost anything historical about the Virgin Islands; West Indian furniture, maps, artwork, prints, photos, postcards, stereoviews, books, etc., which they gladly share with anyone interested.
Mr. Sheen has served as Representative on the SJHS Board since 2012. He continues to be an active collector of historical artifacts for the SJHS to preserve and share.
